Quality and Environment
| Leab’s quality management system is process oriented and based on a very modern and user friendly platform for handling of documents and processes. The quality management system controls critical processes and supports the continuous work with improvements.Our plants are equipped with complete ESD protection, including floors, workplaces, load carriers, tools etc.
One example of Leab’s active environmental work is the five-step model developed for adjustment of our customer’s products to the RoHS Directive, which restricts the use of mercury, cadmium, lead, hexavalent chrome and the flame retardants PBP/PBDE. This model facilitates the transfer to lead-free products. Leab’s machinery has long been adjusted to soldering with lead-free solders. To meet product requirements for products exposed to damp, vibrations, pollution, heavy changes of temperature etc, we use various chemicals in our manufacturing. To minimize the effect on health and environment Leab has invested in modern equipment and facilities for efficient, controlled and safe handling of chemicals. |
